Vermilion Overseas Management Co., Ltd was founded in Hong Kong in 1976 and has grown steadily in stature and competency. Today the VOM Group is recognised as one of the leaders in ship management innovation, technology and expertise.
In November 1994 due to rising costs in the Hong Kong home base ship management operations were separated and transferred to the Philippines. VOM (Manila) Corporation was founded.
With a complement of experienced ship managers from Europe, SE Asia and Japan, the nucleus having transferred from Hong Kong, VOM (Manila) Corporation provides a full range of comprehensive ship management services to international clients.
VOM (Manila) Corporation manages a diverse fleet of vessels including bulk carriers of all sizes and type, fully cellular container vessels and has extensive experience in car carriers and reefer operations.
The VOM Group has representative offices in Kobe, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Bremen, allowing for technical support and on site expertise in most of the key time zones.
Group Objectives
The VOM Group’s objective is to provide quality assured ship and crew management services to international clients, with due regard to cost efficiency, professionalism, safety and environmental pollution prevention.
To this end the VOM Group has implemented quality assured management systems both ashore and afloat. Crew management is in accordance with ISO 9002. The systems fully comply with the quality requirements of the IMO’s ISM code.
