Control and management of VOM (Manila) Corp and all aspects of ship management operations as well as technical and commercial performance.
Experience:
Licensed Chief Engineer with 8 years shipboard experience with various engine types, and 27 years shorebased technical and managerial experience.
Policy statement:
In drawing up our safety management system we took the following key points into account:
The need for concise guidance and instructions on safe operation and pollution prevention, including maintaining the condition of ships and equipment to conform with the provision of relevant statutory and classification rules and regulations. The need for good communication both within the ship and between ship and management ashore.
The fact that competence, attitudes and motivation are decisive factors in safe operation and pollution prevention, and that the performance of individuals is significantly influenced by the quality of the management systems. The fact that accidents can be prevented by proper planning and execution of operations.
Future vision:

Implementation of the Company's Safety Management System and Ship Security plans ashore and afloat. Business Development.
Experience:
Licensed Master Mariner with 13 years onboard experience in general cargo, Ro-Ro and bulkcarriers of various types and 23 years shorebased managerial experience.
Policy statement:
Our management system emphasises a policy of safety, quality management and environmental pollution prevention. It also sets out the means by which the safety, quality management and environmental pollution prevention policy will be achieved.
We have invested considerable effort to ensure the management procedures are concisely and clearly documented and that the organisation structure provides the necessary resources and personnel for the implementation of the system.
Moreover, the analysis of accidents, near accidents, damages or defects that might adversely affect ship safety or the environment is a routine element of our system.

The need to keep pace with technological advances in communications and office automation to enhance business efficiency, as well as the importance of investing in people. |
