The VOM Group utilises a modular fleet structure for ship management control. Each ‘Fleet’ being a self contained module where staff in sufficient numbers and with appropriate experience in both the marine and engineering disciplines are made responsible for the operation and performance of a fleet of vessels.
A Fleet may vary in size depending on ship type. The ratio of staff and support resources will be designated accordingly.
Typically a fleet of between 10 & 12 vessels will be controlled by a team of;
1 x Fleet Manager
2 x Engineer superintendents
1 x Port Captain
1 x Clerical assistant

Crew management section
The Accounts section
Group administration
SEP department
Afloat supervisors
The Fleet Manager reports to senior management who keep an overview and monitor performance.
The Fleet module provides an effective and pro-active "window" to the owner, charterer and vessel. The system enables sufficient cover to always be provided in the absence of any staff member.
A dedicated and tailored Fleet module may be provided for clients with multiple vessels under VOM Group management.
